Who knew six months ago that we would find ourselves searching for the best easy-breathe mask options. However, here we are! We wear masks because keeping our community safe, our small businesses open, and our household on the same page is important. Most importantly, we love our community and know you do too! As a result of this love, we are willing to do whatever it takes in the short term to protect all of us for the long term. If any of the following sentences have come out of your mouth, we have some solutions:
“I can’t breath with the cloth masks on!”
“But cloth masks give me anxiety!”
“Cloth masks make me feel claustrophobic!”
We get it! Let’s take Liv for instance; she wears a mask 8-9 hours a day 5 days a week for work. Consequently, we have experimented with every mask imaginable and we have a winner for the best easy-breath mask option; enter the age of the Balaclava.
What is a Balaclava and Why Should I Buy Some? It’s the best easy-breathe mask!
To clarify, here’s what Wikipedia has to say (I know, I know, but in this case, the source is good enough!):
“A balaclava, also known as a balaclava helmet or Bally or ski mask, is a form of cloth headgear. Designed to expose only part of the face, usually the eyes and mouth. Depending on the style and how it is worn, only the eyes, mouth, and nose, or just the front of the face are unprotected.”
So, that is all to say, Liv has been wearing these to work for a few weeks! The balaclava is the best easy-breathe mask option by far. So, check out these options, buy one or five, and let’s beat this thing together!
** Major Balaclava hack: Above all, you need these to be functional so, get some skinny elastic band (we suggest 1/16″ – see the image to the right). After that, cut a length that fits around the back of your head and can be rolled up within the top inch of the balaclava. Above all, this will keep it on your nose with ease.
We want you to know we totally get it! As a result, we believe that every problem has a solution and the solution these days is melding necessity with comfort. Stay well friends!
